What is Botox?
Botox is the brand name for botulinum toxin as manufactured by Allegan Ltd, the world leaders in this field. It is an injectable protein that reduces the activity of the muscles that causes facial lines to form. Botox temporarily (it lasts three to four months) reduces the contractions of the muscles that cause persistent lines.
A typical Botox treatment lasts 15 minutes, and involves a few tiny injections with a very fine needle. Within a few days there is a noticeable improvement in frown lines, helping both women and men achieve a healthier, more youthful appearance.
